Diversity

Mission Statement
The Wayne Law Review is dedicated to creating a diverse board and staff. The Review’s Diversity Committee’s mission is to promote diversity, inclusion, and equity amongst all areas of the Wayne Law Review.

Diversity Committee
In recognition that diversity of backgrounds and perspectives in its membership, leadership, and
authorship creates a richer exchange of ideas to produce outstanding and innovative scholarship,
the Review shall maintain a diversity committee, as chaired by the diversity editor.

  1. “Diversity” means an array of values, experiences, and viewpoints arising from difference in race, ethnicity, national origin, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and other underrepresented and/or historically marginalized identities in the legal profession and academia;
  2. The purpose of this committee is to create and shape the Review’s diversity-related policies and programs. Under the leadership of the diversity editor, the committee will develop diversity-related goals for the Review and implement such policies and programs;
  3. The diversity editor will hold at least four (4) committee meetings each academic year;
  4. The committee will exercise other such responsibilities as the diversity editor may entrust to it in the performance of the diversity editor’s duties.
